Oh boy do I love Portal. My only regret is I bought it and conquered it months ago so I can’t get it for free now. But now I can talk about how much I love it as I pass along this bit of news.

Steam is offering the original Portal for free until September 20th. You have got to get this game! Even if you’re not into gaming (I’m not) you’ll love it (I do!). Plus if you download it by the 20th, it’s yours forever for free, whether or not you love it. There’s nothing to lose!

Boy this week already feels long and it’s only Tuesday. Yet, here’s something to be excited about: a free movie screening.

This is for the new Ed Helm’s movie Cedar Rapids. I’m not going to do a full out post about it because I’m tired after a long day and a lot of these screenings have already passed, but I wanted to post it for anyone who may be interested. There are quite a few dates over the next couple days.

It’s a Gofobo screening, so go to the site, click your city, and then “Get a Pass.” You’ll have to fill out your info and then print the passes. It’s that simple.

These screenings are seated on a first come, first serve basis, so get there early if you’re interested.

Free Advanced Movie Screening “Beastly”

Boy it’s been awhile since I posted one of these. But I’m excited to finally find a free screening to post about.

This one is for a new movie called Beastly. The plot description via IMDB: A modern-day take on the “Beauty and the Beast” tale where a New York teen is transformed into a hideous monster in order to find true love. The movie stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Neil Patrick Harris. Beastly is out March 4th in the US. I’ll include the trailer at the end of this post.

This screening is being presented by Forty Three Kix. There are about 50 US cities available at the time of posting, so I’m not going to list them all, but you should go check it out.

The way this screening is done is with mobile tickets. Click on the city you want and enter your phone number and zip code. You’ll then receive a text message with a mobile ticket good for two people. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis, so arrive early.

Free $20 Credit for Live Nation: Free Music Downloads

It’s Saturday morning and I haven’t posted in…awhile. So let’s restart this party with something great. How about a free $20 credit to the Live Nation online store?

If you use the code zildjian20 at check out you’ll get $20 off your order. This doesn’t cover shipping costs, but if you spend it on MP3 downloads under $20 it will cover the cost completely and you don’t have to enter your credit card information. Sounds great to me. Apparently the code is supposed to be good through the end of the month.

Also, I’ve read that it can be used once per email address, so if you have multiple email addresses, it may be possible to get multiple credits. I haven’t tried it, so let me know if that does or doesn’t work.

Thanks to My Good Cents and Free Stuff Times.
