I hope everyone who celebrates it is enjoying their Halloween. Make sure to watch some scary movies, that’s what I’ll be doing tonight.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of November, and National Novel Writing Month. I’ll be participating again this year, writing a science fiction novel that I’ve been plotting and planning for a couple weeks now. I’m very excited to get started and I’ll try my best not to neglect the blog, but who knows what will happen!

If you’re participating as well, feel free to friend me or check out my progress.

It feels like winter and I hate it! The temperatures dropped into the low 30s last night (It’s 33 degrees right now) and I had to turn the heat on this morning. It’s such a bummer. I need to move to one of those places without winter.

I’ll have a garden update post on Monday because this weather change is a definite game changer in terms of the garden.

Since it’s so chilly and I’m starting to get icky dry winter throat, tea season is here! I love tea (herbal tea anyway). I could never get into coffee (hate the smell and the taste), but I love tea. I decided to make me feel better about the colder weather, I’d dig up some free tea samples. Let’s kick Friday Freebies off with those.

Sign up for Rue La La Today (10/25) for a $20 Credit

I read about this on Common Sense with Money and signed up myself and saw that it’s legit, so I thought I’d pass it along to my readers.

Rue La La offers deals on boutique items from luxury brands. The deals are available for a limited time and limited quantities, so there’s always something new on the site. Today on the site I saw everything from teas and chocolates to sheets and bedding sets.

If you sign up today only, you’ll automatically receive a $20 credit to your account. You don’t have to use the credit today, as it will be available until 12/31/10, but you have to sign up today to get it.

The credit can take up to 48 hours to credit to your account, but it only took a couple hours to show up in mine. The credit can be applied to shipping costs, so you could potentially get something for free. Refer your friends and they’ll give you a $10 credit after their first purchase.

Yay! It’s Friday! I’m taking a break from plotting my Nanowrimo novel to do this post? Anyone planning on participating this year? I’m so excited to start my novel that November 1st can’t come fast enough. I still have lots of plotting and planning to do though.

Since it’s not quite November yet, we can take some time today to sign up for some freebies. Here we go:

Free Advanced Movie Screening: Paranormal Activity 2

This will just be a quick one because I don’t know how many screening passes are left, but there are some so I want to put this out there.

Paramount has advanced screenings for Paranormal Activity 2 tomorrow, October 20th at 11:59PM. It’s free to RSVP. Each RSVP is for one person, so if you want to take a date or friends, you have to sign up separately for each person.

I’m not going to list all of the cities because I honestly don’t know which ones are open. You have to fill out the form to RSVP and then it tells you whether it’s full or not. I know Chicago is full but Atlanta was open a moment ago when I tried it.

Feel free to comment about what cities are full or open.
