Watch Streaming TV Online for Free: Fancast
Today I’d like to continue my series on watching TV shows online for free, with a site I recently discovered, Fancast. Like Hulu and Joost, it offers full episodes of television shows, plus some movies. All of the videos stream for free thanks to advertising shown during the videos.
I haven’t watched much on Fancast yet, but what I’ve noticed is that many of the videos are videos that stream on other sites (network sites, Hulu, etc) but are all gathered into one place and watchable on this site. I actually kind of like this. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to watch streaming video on a network website like MTV, ABC, or NBC, but those sites are often bloated and slow to load and difficult to navigate just to fine the one episode you want to watch. Accessing the video’s through Fancast’s sleek site is much easier.
Fancast currently features shows like The Hills and Laguna Beach, plus daily Soaps like The Bold & the Beautiful and As the World Turns.
Mainly I was impressed by their selection of movies. Some notable movies available to stream right now:
Fancast is a quality site and a great resource for full-length streaming television and movies.
Tomorrow I’ll be posting about how I find all the rest of my favorite shows to watch for free online, so tune in then or subscribe to my RSS feed so you don’t miss out!

Hey Tiffany, thanks a lot for your nice shout-out to Fancast and we’re glad you found and are enjoying it. While there are other sites that have some offerings, Fancast has a ton of content that are not available at other sites, and all, of course, free.
For example, this week we have a sneak preview of HBO’s new comedy “Bored to Death” which is getting a lot of buzz, as well as the season premiere of the Starz hit “Crashed.” Both free, even though they are from premium channels.
And of course, our regular stuff (new episodes and classics) from all the major networks and studios including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, The CW, and a ton of cable channels like Bravo, FX, Lifetime, etc.

And in addition to the shows and movies, we have a nice editorial package of blogs, interviews and live chats with the stars where our users can ask them questions live. Wednesday, we just completed a season-long series of chats with the evicted Big Brother House Guests (we had Jordan, Natalie and Kevin chatting with BB fans), and then on Friday, we’re starting a weekly series of chats with the latest castoff from “Survivor” Samoa” the day after the show airs on CBS.
Cheers,
Jim (for Fancast)
