Happy Independence Day! Free Fireworks!
It’s our nation’s birthday! That means many things, like BBQ, beer, and fireworks! The best thing about this holiday is that if you don’t feel like (or legally can’t) shoot your own fireworks, there are thousands of free fireworks shows across the country today.
I don’t have the time or the resources to list every location, but if you don’t know where there are fireworks available in your area, I recommend using Google and searching for your state or city and “fireworks.” Also your local Park District website may have info about locations and times.
Don’t feel like going out? I can understand if you don’t want to deal with the crowds, weather, or annoying mosquitoes. Most local news stations will broadcast the big fireworks show in the area, so check your local schedule.

The boyfriend and I saw the Independence Eve Fireworks downtown as part of the Taste of Chicago last night and they were amazing. I hope everyone has an equally spectacular weekend!
